SaffronStays Woodpeckers Suite is a 1-bedroom glasshouse-style stay, part of a larger estate, with expansive hill views and a private bathtub. Set in the lush hills of Dehradun, it is pet-friendly and ideal for couples, with a private balcony and outdoor sit-out. Located 10 minutes from Shikhar Falls and about an hour from Jolly Grant Airport, it offers both accessibility and seclusion.
Positioned on the lower level of the estate, the suite is designed for quiet, slow living. Large windows frame uninterrupted views of greenery, while the sit-out and bathtub offer spaces to unwind after exploring nearby trails and waterfalls. Whether it’s a calm morning coffee, a laid-back afternoon, or simply taking in the shifting light over the hills, the setting encourages a relaxed, unhurried stay.
Please note, the Woodpeckers Suite is part of a larger estate that also includes Woodpeckers Perch, a 2-bedroom villa on the upper level. You can book it for additional space or reserve the entire estate for a more seamless stay; please contact us for details.

Things to know before booking
- Check-In Time : 02 PM
- Check-Out Time : 11 AM
- Given the increased need for safety, hygiene and sanitization required at the villa, and for the safety of our guests and staff we cannot allow any early check-ins or late check-outs. The check-in and check-out timings mentioned online and in your confirmation email need to be followed.
- Outside food is not allowed at the property
- Kitchen access is restricted, except for infant needs with prior approval
- Bachelor and stags are not allowed
- No outside guests or day visitors allowed during the stay
- Parties and late-night revelry are discouraged
- Loud music is not permitted after 10 PM
- Alcohol consumption is allowed in moderation
- Illegal activities, including drugs, narcotics, or weapons, are strictly prohibited and will be reported
- Smoking inside rooms or enclosed spaces is not allowed
- Guests are responsible for their personal belongings; management is not liable for any loss or damage
- Valid government ID (Aadhar Card, Driving License, or Passport) is required for all guests above 4 years
- Management reserves the right to deny or cancel bookings in case of inappropriate behaviour or rule violations
- In case of special occasions like wedding and pre-wedding ceremonies, milestone celebrations and events, and similar such events that require the parts or entire estate, whether they require elaborate arrangements or not, are at the sole discretion and explicit permission of the management. These need to be informed at the time of booking, and additional venue charges, additional deposits and charges for time efforts and specialised skills needed for prior arrangements and post event cleanup will apply.

- The final 1 km stretch to the villa is uneven; guests are advised to drive with caution
- Parking for up to 4 cars is available outside the property under CCTV surveillance
- Exterior areas under CCTV include verandahs, sit-outs, lawns, gardens, parking, the estate entrance, and backyard/storage areas
- The bedroom is located on the lower ground floor and can be accessed via stairs

We had an amazing stay at the woodpecker suite, lodged on top of a scenic hill, this place was the best weekend getaway we have had. Its so beautiful and serene, away from the hustle if the city and offers the best hospitality- Mr Sandeep the caretaker was just a call away for anything we needed. The food is great too- homestyle warm food.

Had a wonderful stay at Woodpecker, so serene. Special mention : Sujal, he takes care of everything wholeheartedly. Food is delicious, thumbs up! Must visit property in the lap of nature!
The property is much more beautiful and cozy than the pictures let on. The staff, Mr. Sujal was extremely polite and cooperative. The food was fine. But the WiFi is an issue. WiFi coverage is bad everywhere in the property, signal strength is so bad you can't even browse sometimes. Still I would strongly recommend staying here for anyone who is considering this property.

One of the best properties I have ever visited. The location feels totally surreal. Located on peaceful outskirts, away-from the chaos of city. Cottage comes with private lawn area which is totally amazing and offers breathtaking and amazing view to the valley. Property is child friendly and kid can enjoy a lot in the open lawn. Must visit place
The property is just too beautiful. The approach road is a little rough for the last 500-800m and the last one km has no street lights, hence makes it a bit difficult to approach at night. Sujal, the caretaker boy was just delightful. Very helpful and very sweet. Overall a great peaceful stay. Would definitely love to return.

Amazing hospitality and mouth watering food. Perfect location for a getaway from the city for some peace and quiet. The location and the property both were beyond expectations. Had the most memorable vacation in the hills , all thanks to saffron stays. Mr Siddharth and Mr Arjun from Saffron helped me with all my booking formalities smoothly without a hassle and were available and in touch personally throughout our stay for any of our requirements. Mr Ankit the property manager also was so warm and welcoming and everything was arranged according to our comfort without even the slightest of inconvenience. I had a beautiful stay at the Woodpecker's suite. The staff is really welcoming and extremely helpful, they made sure we had a comfortable stay throughout. The place matches the description and pictures to the point. It looks better in real life than in the pictures tbh. The place was really clean and the surroundings were pleasant and peaceful. Would 10/10 recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a calm, rejuvenating stay away from the hustle bustle of city life. In all, a picture perfect place to spend a relaxing day in the mountains.

A good place for staycation in nature and away from all the chaos. Only point to be note is there is no option of public transport from 2km and although it was completely safe but if there would a security guard we could feel much safer at night.
Overall a very lovely stay. Staff was very helpful and Aditya was attentive to our needs. The pelace is also beautiful. Highly recommend!
An experience that I'll remember for the rest of my life. The property is located away from the city hustle & bustle because of which the only sounds you'll experience are the chirping of birds. The room is spacious and the support staff was good too. The only minor complaint is the approach road to the property, it's completely broken making it a little difficult to reach the property. Other than that, it was an amazing experience. Definitely would stay again whenever I am in Dehradun.
