SaffronStays Altura is a 2-bedroom homestay in Mukteshwar designed for a simple, view-led stay in the hills. Set against a backdrop of the Greater Himalayas and surrounded by forest, the home offers uninterrupted mountain views from its verandahs and shared balcony.
Each bedroom is designed as a private unit, complete with a kitchenette, attached washroom, and an attic space that works well as a reading corner or a relaxed evening spot. The layout allows for both shared time and individual comfort, making it suitable for couples, friends, and small families.
The garden, dotted with fruit trees like apricot, plum, pear, peach, and apple, adds to the outdoor experience. Mornings are best spent soaking in the views or birdwatching, while the quiet setting makes it equally suited for longer stays and workations, supported by stable WiFi.

- Check-In Time : 1 PM
- Check-Out Time : 10 AM
- Given the increased need for safety, hygiene and sanitization required at the villa, and for the safety of our guests and staff we cannot allow any early check-ins or late check-outs. The check-in and check-out timings mentioned online and in your confirmation email need to be followed.

- Bachelor and stags are allowed
- No outside guests or day visitors allowed during the stay
- Parties and late-night revelry are discouraged
- Loud music is not permitted after 10 PM
- Alcohol consumption is allowed in moderation
- Illegal activities, including drugs, narcotics, or weapons, are strictly prohibited and will be reported
- Smoking inside rooms or enclosed spaces is not allowed
- Guests are responsible for their personal belongings; management is not liable for any loss or damage
- Valid government ID (Aadhar Card, Driving License, or Passport) is required for all guests above 4 years
- Management reserves the right to deny or cancel bookings in case of inappropriate behaviour or rule violations
- In case of special occasions like wedding and pre-wedding ceremonies, milestone celebrations and events, and similar such events that require the parts or entire estate, whether they require elaborate arrangements or not, are at the sole discretion and explicit permission of the management. These need to be informed at the time of booking, and additional venue charges, additional deposits and charges for time efforts and specialised skills needed for prior arrangements and post event cleanup will apply.

Our stay was fantastic! The one-bedroom and attic were so cozy, and the home-cooked food was a major highlight. A big shout-out to Mr. Bhagwant Bisht for his hospitality and to Himanshu, who made everything seamless with his quick support on WhatsApp. This is the perfect spot for a truly comfortable and well-coordinated retreat.

It is a very simple, clean and humble homestay. The cottage is separated by stairs but you will share the common space with the house owners and they are very sweet. He took care of every small thing like guiding us where to go, cooking the food we liked using fresh ingredients, and offering us lemons from his garden and checking on us multiple times to see we are comfortable in their home. We loved the views from the room balcony, jungle walk below the house, and yummy food cooked by them in pahadi style as we asked. It's a perfect place to chill and enjoy nature.

Great homestay nestled in the hills with beautiful trails, view and village area nearby. Cutoff from the bustle of the city and tourist traffic, it's a great location to unwind and relax. Special thanks to the caretaker - Bhagwant Ji for making our stay joyful and comfortable. Available for all queries and accommodating of all requests, very knowledgeable and friendly vibes overall. Please note - The room is as advertised. Explore the green trails nearby for a unique experience. Go to the village school, interact with the locals, have a one of a kind time! But be prepared to rent or own a vehicle all the time if you want to go to the nearby towns, which are each about an hr away.
Very Cosy Place admist the Mountains and inside the Forest. Food was Superb and Bhagwant ji and Gita ji pampered us with their Tasty Food. The Weather was very good and the Owner / Caretakers are extremely Humble and Kind ? to take such nice care of us.
We visited Saffron stays Altura for 2 nights. Initially I was sceptical for booking the property but took a chance going by the reviews. And I wasn't disappointed at all. The view was spectacular. The room with the attic was quite cosy. The food was the best food I had during my entire 1 week stay in UK. The hospitality provided Mr Bhagwant and his family made us very comfortable from the moment we arrived there. Can't recommend this place enough. Would definitely be happy to go there again, next time for a longer stay.

What a wonderful stay, the property is lovely with all the modern amenities and what we loved most was how clean and well maintained the rooms are. We were visiting with our pets and they absolutely loved the private trail near the property, along with an amazing view of the mountain peaks. An incredible location to let off some steam and watch the Himalayas, the surroundings are beautiful and rich with cultural heritage. You can trust the locals whole heartedly and they will show you around Mukteshwar, Almora and Bhimtal. Everyone was super nice and the food was amazing at both Altura and nearby areas. Do yourselves a favour and take a look at a clear night sky if you can.

Location of the property is top notch... Felt like sitting in the lap of mountains bcoz of the view we got to see... Series of Panchachuli peaks from the window.. It was actually a homestay... Owner was too good in his job.. Excellent hospitality is what u get in there... Built in kitchen in the room is also available... Apart from that owner provides mouth watering food and breakfast homely prepared... Location was away from Main mukteshwar temple for about 18 km nd it would take approx 45 min to 1 hour to reach there from property... But if you are looking for a peaceful atmosphere with breathtaking visuals from ur property and a great hospitality, this is one of the best place to stay... But if u are planning to visit there, then try to visit from april to june bcoz that is the peak seaon of fresh fruits i.e peach, plum, apricot etc, trees of which surrounds all over the property.

Altura shines due to the love and care by Bhagwant Ji and his family. nested in deep mountains and beautiful views we lived life like a local mountaineer, had a lot of tea and lemonades. Food was excellent. We were also greeted by Kilhairi (Bhagwant jis dog) who ran and jumped the mountains. It was a sight to behold. Bhagwant Ji thank you. We will come again soon
