Yes, our home is child friendly.
There is plenty of space to run around and many indoor activities that will keep your children occupied. The home has instead been stocked with board games such as Life, Monopoly, Chess, Carrom, Table Tennis and Darts. There is also a basic first-aid kit, stocked with Dettol, band-aids, etc., for minor injuries. Parents are advised to be cautious when allowing kids to run around.

Yes, our home is senior citizen/elderly friendly.
The home has 3 bedrooms on the ground floor with a small set of steps that can be comfortably climbed. The 4th room is on the first floor. All the bedroom have private bathrooms, again easy to access at night without any supervision. All our bathrooms have anti-skid surface.
Upon special request, our caretakers can prepare Low Salt/ Low Spice/ Low Fat/ Low Sugar for senior citizens. These requests should be informed at the time of booking.
In case of a medical emergency, the caretaker has the numbers for doctor-on-call or ambulance service-on-call. The home is ambulance accessible.

4 extra mattresses can be arranged onsite. Our home has adequate bed sheets, blankets and pillows for extra bedding.

Yes, we provide toiletries like soap, shampoo, hair conditioner and towels.

Yes the villa has WiFi connection. There is adequate network connectivity, if not 4G then 3G.
Yes, we have a backup generator in case of rare occasions of power failure. Guests are requested to switch off the ACs during power outages as it consumes more power.
7. Do you have a problem with mosquitoes? How do you deal with it to make our stay more comfortable?
All rooms have mosquito repellents. Guests are advised to shut the windows between 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm to avoid mosquitoes and insects from entering the home.
Payments
A Guest is entitled to a refund of 75% if he/she cancels the confirmed booking upto 15 days before the Date of Check-In (before 1 PM).
A Guest is entitled to a refund of 50% if he/she cancels the confirmed booking upto 7 days before the Date of Check-In (before 1 PM)
If the Guest cancels within 7 days of the Date of Check-In, he/she is entitled to no refund.
Unfortunately, there is no option for part payment. Guests are required to pay 100% of the payment before check-in.
Once you have chosen your dates and your booking has been accepted, you will receive a payment link where the payment can be processed.
In case you're unable to make an online payment through the link, you could also deposit the cash in our bank account directly. We also offer other options like PayTM, NEFT/IMPS or UPI.
Yes/No. Members can/cannot redeem their nights, utilise their privileges and avail any offers while booking this home.
No. All payments for booking the villa, including meals, will have to be pre-paid prior to check-in. Security Deposit collected during booking will be returned during check-out or by NEFT within 5 business days after check-out, provided no damages are observed. To avoid inconvenience, we will not be accepting cash onsite for any reasons henceforth.
Please note: The Security Deposit is subject to change depending upon the number of nights and the group size. Please check with your holiday advisor at the time of booking.

While roads connecting to the property are good, guests are advised to check the road and weather conditions before leaving for a road trip. Our home is cool and breezy round the year, so you could visit at anytime.

Given the location of our home, playing loud music is allowed within limit and during specific time/hours.
Guests are requested to respect our neighbours and keep the noise level mild and within the villa.
Yes, smoking is allowed but strictly not inside the home. If you wish to smoke, please do so outside in the garden/lawn area.
Alcohol consumption is permitted within limits. We do not encourage late night revelry or loud music.
Check-in time at 1 pm and check-out time is 10 am. Please note that check-out timings are strict as we need to ready the rooms for our next booking. Guests are requested to respect the timing of other guests as well. In case you wish to check in a little early or check out a little late, do inform us at the time of booking. Additional charges will be applied. Late check-out charges includes meals (lunch).
As required by law, all adults have to provide their government-approved Photo IDs (that clearly show their residential address) at the time of Check-in. Your co-operation is of utmost importance to us.
No. Guests will only be able to access common areas on the property such as the living room, garden, private pool (if any), etc.
Guests are strictly prohibited from crossing into neighboring properties under any circumstances. We request our guests to respect the privacy and personal space of our neighbours.

No, you cannot book just one room. You would need to book the entire home.
Yes, driver and house-help accommodation is available. Charges for the same are Rs. 2000 per person, per night. This does not include meals. Additional charges for meals to be paid to the caretaker onsite, in cash. Up to X no of people can be accommodated.
Free parking is available onsite (in a covered parking area). There is also a public car park nearby. Uptown 10 cars can be parked onsite.
Yes, the home has a garden/lawn area within the premises that could be used for outdoor picnic activities. Meals will be provided on site at an additional charge (per person, per meal). Please note that the maximum capacity for an overnight stay is 6 people.
During the day, guests will be allowed to use the washrooms and other amenities at the villa. The home is also stocked with indoor games like UNO and playing cards, monopoly, chess, badminton, snakes and ladder, etc.
Depending on the event, you are allowed to erect a small stage, stall or tent for your event purpose.
Yes, we do allow events/shoots at the villa, subject to Home Owner's approval. Meals can be arranged at an additional cost (per person, per day). Please note that a maximum of 12 people can be accommodated in the villa for an overnight stay.
Access to the pool will be subject to home owner's approval. Depending on the event and its requirements, a refundable deposit and additional charges may be applied. Please note that loud music (if needed for your function) will only be permitted during certain hours. Any other permissions required for photo shoot/functions will need to be taken by the guests themselves.

Guests are not allowed to access the kitchen. However, mothers of infants or small children will have limited access to boil milk or prepare their kids meals.

Things to do
Yes, there is a private pool swimming pool within the complex. Pool timings are between 9 am to 7 pm. The water is chlorinated and pool balls have been placed nearby for kids. As there is no lifeguard on hand, guests are advised to be cautious (especially around kids) and to refrain from swimming late at night.
Our pool is available for poolside parties. However, we recommend keeping alcohol, food and glass bottles away from the pool to avoid accidents.

Things to know before booking
Check-In and Check-Out:
- Check-In Time : 1 PM
- Check-Out Time : 10 AM
- Given the increased need for safety, hygiene and sanitization required at the villa, and for the safety of our guests and staff we cannot allow any early check-ins or late check-outs. The check-in and check-out timings mentioned online and in your confirmation email need to be followed.
House Rules:
- Outside food is not allowed in the villa.
- Guests are not allowed to access the kitchen except for infants with prior permission.
- Guests cannot invite other guests and day visitors during their stay.
- Bachelor groups & stag parties are not allowed.
- We do not encourage parties and late-night revelry. Loud music is not permitted beyond 10 pm.
- Consumption of alcohol is permitted only within limits.
- Illegal activities including but not limited to carrying/consuming drugs/narcotics and carrying firearms/weapons are prohibited on the property. Management reserves the right to report any such activities to local authorities.
- Smoking within the villa/rooms is prohibited.
- The pool (if present) is unguarded. There is no lifeguard on site. Children in the pool must be accompanied by adults at all times.
- Guests are requested to take care of all personal valuables. Management is not responsible for loss, theft or damage to any items.
- As required by law, every guest above 4 years must carry government-approved photo ID proof, that shows address. We accept only Aadhar Cards, Driving Licenses and Passports.
- Inappropriate behaviour or violation of any of the above House Rules will invite a polite refusal to accept a Booking. If already checked in, Management reserves the right to ask guests to leave.
About the Property:
- Meals are mandatory at the villa and payments must be made ONLINE prior to check-in.
- Security deposit can be paid in cash at the villa.
- Once you reach the location pin, proceed straight ahead until you spot signage for SaffronStays Cabin in the Woods or 'Aparna by the River'
- Guests need to mandatorily submit the ID cards of all the members of the group.
- In an effort to make your stay around nature more sustainable, we encourage our guests to re-use and reduce consumption. Please reuse towels for the second day, turn off lights, fans, and ACs when not in use, and inform the caretaker of meal portions in advance to avoid food waste.
- Please note that separate utensils, cutlery, stove and barbecue are used for cooking and serving non-vegetarian meals.
- Kindly note that we do not accommodate bachelor or stag groups.
- The 1st bedroom is on the ground floor with a king-size bed that can be used for a bigger group with an ensuite bathroom
- The villa has wifi with a speed of 30-50 mbps which might be patchy at times depending on the weather conditions.
- Please note that the road leading to the home is uneven patches.
- During monsoons, be sure to be mesmerized by the river that surround the home.
- The pictures on the website were shot during monsoons. The surroundings may not match the pictures during the other seasons.
- Smoking is strictly prohibited.
- Outside meals are not allowed in the home.
- Considering the unique location of the villa, Internet connectivity can get affected due to the falling of trees, heavy rains or other causes

The food was quite disappointing All dishes had a lot of garam masala and no taste in particular. Dinner was served at 11 pm, with no explanation for why it was so delayed Even the breakfast was served very late because they ran out of gas. Considering the price we paid, it was not worth it all
